Jakey Pedro’s paintings fuse rodeo mythology, surf culture, and neo-expressionist mark-making into energetic works that feel both nostalgic and emotionally charged. Drawing on the visual language of cowboys, bucking horses, beach culture, and pop iconography, Pedro creates large-scale paintings layered with gestural brushwork, oil-stick drawings, spray paint, and handwritten text. His signature aesthetic combines sun-faded coastal palettes with the grit and spectacle of the rodeo arena, reimagining the cowboy as a contemporary symbol of freedom.
