Grace's contemporary Australian abstract landscapes are built up over time layer by layer, offering a rich, vibrant set of textures, with colour and tone being the vital element. Using acrylic and other mixed media on canvas Grace relies on a sense of design and composition learned as a graphic designer and using computer based methods transforms her images of the landscape and built environment that are then painted by hand or a combination of the two.
'As a contemporary landscape artist I am interested in local colour and look directly to nature for inspiration. Each painting tells a story using texture, pattern and colour, stripping back the details and stepping outside the boundaries to reveal the environment in a different way.'
Grace is a multi award winning, accomplished artist and designer. She was this year's finalist in the Australian Dulux Colour Awards, she has been recognized by Porters Paints for her excellence in colour design and she is an accomplished design academic being on staff and teaching colour at the Sydney Design School.
Grace studied at the International School of Colour & Design gaining many accreditations in Visual Arts, Colour design, Surface Design and Interior Styling.
Grace specialises in contemporary art for residential and commercial clients.
