Born in 1970 of Greek descent in Perth Western Australia, Felicia Aroney`s greatest influences are drawn from the fusion of her rich Australian upbringing and her European background.
“Australia’s wondrous flora, and the textural visuals seen on my European travels, have fused my subject and technique as one”
Felicia`s latest body of work highlights a sophisticated elegance. Her chic choice of colour palette and thick layers of paint create a physical presence that are both captivating and calming. Felicia has amalgamated feminine floral design with masculine bold shapes suited to both classic and contemporary settings. She has expanded her fascination of the exquisite Hydrangea flowers and pears, paying careful attention to the light and shade of their delightful rounded bellies. Her trade mark, the Australian Fairy Wrens still make a delicate appearance in her latest series. Felicia`s well recognised textural techniques and application of thick layers of paint create a dramatic effect bringing charm into any space.
Felicia has an honors degree in Graphic Design (Curtin University WA). Felicia was a finalist in the prestigious “Mosman Art Prize 2014”, “Hornsby Art Prize 2014” & “Waverley Art Prize 2013”. She has had many successful solo and group exhibitions including the Hong Kong, Singapore and Seoul International Art Fairs 2014 – 2016. In 2014 Felicia and make-up guru Napoleon Perdis completed a joint International project in AU and USA. Felicia has clients spanning from Australia, USA, Europe and Asia.
